What I Want to Know About my Topic
My perspective and knowledge about domestic violence is both wide and varied because of previous experiences with it, but I continue to have questions about this specific issue. It is essential that I go more in debt with my research. Consequently, I have proposed some specific questions to research. Why do adolescents have such contrasting behavior when exposed to domestic violence? Which of the two has influenced adolescents more physical or verbal abuse? Should authorities be more focused on domestic violence? What if adolescents who encounter domestic violence had more options when it comes to letting authorities know? How does this specific exposure influence the behavior of adolescents? My goal is to thoroughly answer how the behavior of adolescents is affected when they are exposed to domestic violence.

The Story Benhind My Topic
According to the Family Peace Center every fifteen seconds a women is beaten. Every fifteen seconds a defenseless and innocent woman is shattered inside realizing that the one she loves dared to lay a hand on her. I felt the agony of watching it all happen, yet I was incapable of doing anything to stop it. Every scream and insult burned my heart with intensity. I watched it all happen. Watching as every shout and yell would bring her down. Every tear that seeped into her skin has given her the courage to stand up for herself. I have truly been impacted as an individual from witnessing my grandmother go through it all. Some individuals may believe those exposed to this violence are not extremely affected by it, but who are they to say they know? These people who think they may know have never been in my shoes or all those other adolescents who were exposed to it also. Adolescents who are exposed to domestic violence are truly impacted from these experiences.
